A solid creative who is also a proven manager and mentor, an experienced art director and copywriter fluent in Spanish and English, who loves to hash out planning briefs and media strategies, stays on top of the latest trends and can sell the heck out of an idea to a client.

I’m an advertising veteran with a career that spans 20 years, four countries and two languages. My forte is combining insightful strategic thinking with compelling creative ideas, all based on a simple creative philosophy: tell stories people can relate to. I’ve guided the conceptualization and creative execution of advertising efforts ranging from multi-million pan-regional efforts, to AOR national campaigns, to regional and local accounts.

During my career, the work I’ve contributed to create has been awarded or shortlisted in The One Show, Telly, FIAP, Addys, AHAA and Mobius. I’ve been a juror at several competitions including AAAA and Tellys, and have participated as panelist or presenter in several conferences including AHAA. I’ve also taught Typography, Graphic Design and Advertising at the Miami Ad School.

Worked primarily in health care accounts including: CarePlus/Humana, CAC-Florida Medical Centers, Cleveland Clinic and Feeding South Florida.

2009 to 2010
Creative consulting and providing Hispanic creative capabilities to general market agencies. Accounts: Coca Cola, Nestea, Pollo Tropical, DirecTV, Coventry Health Care, Buffalo Wild Wings and Subway.

Hill Holliday Hispanic (later renamed Abecé) / Creative Director
Miami Beach, FL. 2003 to 2009
Opened the Hispanic practice of Hill Holliday as Creative Director, and was responsible for all the creative output of the agency, talent management, coordination with creative departments across the Hill Holliday and IPG networks and overseeing production. Accounts included Chili’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, CVS/pharmacy, Cleveland Clinic, American Red Cross, LoJack, Uniroyal and Toys R Us, among others.

Started as Senior Art Director, then was promoted to Associate Creative Director and Creative Director. I was responsible for all the creative output of the agency and management of the creative department.
